I'm still alive

Thanks for the prayers, thoughts, and kind words. I lived through my first week of testing! It was very difficult, but I also learned a lot just going through the process. I tested for 24 hours last week, almost all of it was essay writing. Each day the essays became more difficult. After all was said and done, I had about 50 pages of essays. On Monday I can begin my revisions. My goal is to produce another 100 pages of dry boring essays to back up the first 50. All of this is in preparation for my oral exams on December 8th. If all goes well, I will pass on December 8th and move from being a lowly doctoral student to an illustrious and much better looking doctoral candidate. This first week is generally considered to be the hardest part. I'm just glad that it is over.
I would like to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. For the last month I have had a lot of trouble sleeping at night, it has been hard to relax and I found myself becoming edgier every day (especially to this one dorky kid in the lab, he just kept ticking me off). With the help of a well timed blessing, and all of your prayers, I was able to get some sleep every night throughout the week. I needed the help, I couldn't have done it without you guys. We are excited to see all of you at Thanksgiving. Thanks again for everything.

I'm glad that you're moving on to the revisions. Having had my own experience with UGLY LONG exams, I've been thinking of you. Good luck with those boring essays...

Yes... good luck. I'd call you to say it, but that would probably stress us both out more as you are very busy and i never have any battery on my cell phone... and i walk to the car in the dark sometimes and need to be on it! So... anywho...haha, Good Luck! Love you guys! You guys as in all of you...but Jacob and Carrie in particular right now. :)
