Cross Georgia off the list

I spent most of the last week in Atlanta at a conference sponsored by Schwab. It was my first time in Georgia so it is now officially off the list. Only 15 states left until I've hit all 50! If anyone wants to take a road trip to North Dakota, I'm in. The conference was actually quite fun and I learned a lot about the institutional investment side of the financial planning industry. This is an especially interesting time considering all that is going on right now. I also got to eat at Dad's favorite restaurant in Atlanta, Pitty Pat's Porch. I highly recommend it - it was wonderful. I have now had real Southern cookin'.
On Thursday I'm headed to Boston for two more conferences, then we're stopping in Dallas on the way home for a third. Two of the conferences are academic. I'll be presenting research on two topics; the practice of debt avoidance as a moderator of impulsive buying and the long-term effects of wealth shocks/inheritances on net worth (I know, you all wish that you could be there to hear such riveting topics). The third conference is industry related, I'll be asking people for money to start the financial planning program at UVU. This will be my final school related trip of the semester. I've been taking my notes with me as I still have a lot of studying to do for my exams in November. Good luck to everyone as I know that this is a busy time. You are all in our thoughts and prayers and we appreciate your prayers on our behalf.
